Lowe’s is pleased to announce a proposal for a full-service home improvement store in South Dennis. The proposed site, off of Route 134, is in a town-approved industrial and commercial zone at the intersection of Theophilus F. Smith Road. The proposed Lowe’s of Dennis is just under 100,000 square feet with an adjacent Garden Center of approximately 28,000 square feet. The proposed store is smaller than Lowe’s standard prototype, which reflects Lowe’s efforts to submit a design that best serves Dennis and Cape Cod customers and also fits within the community character of the area.
The Dennis project will create approximately 130 to 170 full- and part-time jobs and generate approximately $100,000 annually in property tax revenue for the Town of Dennis—money that could be used to support schools, public safety and municipal services.
